Hi All,

Been lurking here for quite a while and bought my first TVR, a 98 400, just over a year ago (loving it by the way).

So far the search facility here has come up with all the answers to my newbie questions but I can't find anything relating to my current problem.

I was replacing the handbrake cable the other day when I came across this...

which was attached to the chassis along with the fuel pump bracket but no longer connected to the fuel pump. The car starts and runs fine without it, so the question is, what's it for and should I worry about re-connecting it? (which will be a pain cos there's no slack in the cable to play with)

Cheers,

Rob.

Its there to suppress interference (electrical noise produced by the pump) that may be picked by your radio, it won't affect the running of the car, but it is good practice to replace it when you can..
