Did you watch the video until the end?. It does stop at 3.18 and whoever posted/titled the video clearly does not know what a runaway diesel is.

If the car is a manual the best you can hope for is to try and stall it. Stick it in its highest gear, handbrake on, stand on the foot brake as hard as you can and drop the clutch.

Wet rag shoved into the intake manifold will do it. Stop the supply of oxygen and the engine will die.
