Eagle Speedster - Top Gear Episode 1

Does anyone know where they filmed the Eagle feature?

I don't mean the end shots over the cliffs, but the driving shots which looked possibly somewhere like the Salisbury Plains

The E-type village scene just before was Chilham in Kent, and the speedster shots looked a lot like the Downs around that area.

Some of the driving was on my local roads. Specifically the road up to and around Devils Dyke on the South Downs in Sussex. At one point you can see Shoreham Power Station momentarily.

I'm a Shoreham resident and was only driving the road a couple of hours before the show so is easily recognisable to me. One of my favourite driving roads btw. Think it's proper name is Saddlescomble rd

Eagle are situated in East Sussex, don't forget

Was the best top gear ending i can recall , the car was stunningly beautiful , I love the way the armed forces get involved with these patriotic parts of top gear , Hope the series carries on in the same vein ,

On a note slightly off topic, what a machine. The noise and looks were simply heavenly. If I had half a million pounds worth of disposable income, I'd happily throw it at one of those.

I think it's based on mutual benefit , will it reflect the core values of the force and what is the brand representing them and
how does that brand reflect us. Top Gear wouldn't be able to afford any of it.

Henry Pearman is a genius with E-types, as a look at the Eagle site will show, but a visit to his works/farm will show just how much attention to detail and research goes into each and every one of his cars. That said, I'm still scratching my head at the price tag. You could have two Lynx XKSS's (if you could find even one for sale it would be a miracle) at the price with the same bhp/torque figures available at a modest engine build cost.

I expect I'll get flamed for it but the only E-Type I like is the early Coupe. The later 2+2 is out of proportion with its larger screen and the V12 simply looks bloated. Don't much take to the roadsters and the Eagle on Top Gear was not an improvement. sorry
