As there is a dealer near me is selling mk1 (1990).

Concourse condition with blueprinted engine and running at 124.1bhp at 6500rpm. The car only covered 77,000.

It advertised at £3,995, is that too much ?

Is it made of gold. For £3995 it should be.

What price it should be ? Currently toying the idea of getting mk1 but wifey like the look of mk2 !

Is turbo / supercharger version going for that price or less ?

It would have to be really, really nice with a water tight dealer backup, 12 month warranty etc at that money.

I'd be interested in details of the engine build - is there any receipts or details? As a blueprinted 1600 engine is an awfully expensive way to gain 10bhp.

According to dealer - Tuning was as follows , Fit sports cat front box , Gas flow cylinder head and profile cams , polished manifolds , twin stainless steel sports exhaust, Fit Duichip (whatever hell is this!)

Well that's some worthy work, but it ain't what I'd call "blueprinting".

Hi, just picked mine up 1991, 70k for under half that!
If it really is that good I'd say its worth maybe 3k. I think there's a £1000 pound dealer premium on that car, which to me is just taking the piss.

Yep, I knew it was ridiculous price in first place.

Right - I think I better start looking for mk2.5 now, is S-VT good one ? it got 6 speeds and LSD.

Get the Mk2.5 S-VT instead, if it's a similar price. Far better car, IMO.
