Whereabouts on the M77? Marked or unmarked?

Seemed to be lots of police activity on the roads around the new M74 as well. I am sure they were only helping confused drivers.....

I've noticed a lot of traffics around the M77/M8 this last week or two, I know it's usually easy pickings for them but the coverage seems to be massively increased recently. I even got pulled in EK the other night while behaving and minding my own business, just for them to check my car over. The guy was decent, but its slightly frustrating as I'd wager they wouldn't have wasted their time had I been driving something completely standard and a few years younger.

I wonder if its to make the extension look better. If it reduces accidents it would soften the blow of the cost, a high police presence should make drivers concentrate more.

I believe it was finished ahead of schedule and under budget (a first). Last thing they want is a fatality on a new stretch of Ozone busting motorway, reckon that's why the filth are all over it.

Anyone can complete a project ahead of schedule and under budget if the goal posts are moved :-)
