CLK63 AMG - views?

Hello fellow MB aficionados.

For a bunch of reasons that I won't bore you with I may be swapping my 993 Carrera for something more modern.

Having pondered a variety of alternatives a strong contender is the CLK63 AMG. I used to have a CLK500 (the later 5.5 388hp one) and really enjoyed it, but I did feel that it could do with being a little more 'loutish', hence the consideration of the '63.

Therefore, if anyone on here has one (or knows someone who does) I would be grateful to read some comments - driving impressions, and practical stuff like servicing costs, mpg etc.

If you can shrug of the CLK image, the 63 is a great car.

Thought about the C63? Equally as loutish but more 'macho'.

Possibly sharing one car with the missus, and an increase in longer journeys. She doesn't like driving the 993.

I understand my missus never drove mine !! The C63 saloon will probably be a better bet historically more sought after than the CLK.

Perhaps I should change the missus instead...

Engine is one of the all time greats IMHO.
