Just picked up my new Polo GTI smile

Wasn't due until September, but managed to get it early. It's deep pearl black, with touchscreen radio and multifunction leather steering wheel.

Only done 50 miles at the moment, but it's pretty good fun, and surprisingly fast.

1.4 TFSI ?

Those DSG boxes are fabulous we have a Golf GTD with the DSG box it amazes me every time I experience it.

Looks fantastic !

Looks nice on the outside! Not sure I'd be after an automatic transmission in a car like that though.

Could be wrong, but think they're all autos.

Thanks smile and yes It's the 1.4 TSI engine. The DSG is always going to split opinion, but personally I love it.

Slightly off topic, but is there any pics of the DB9 lurking in the background? Looks great!

Fantastic, really really like these, definite consideration for my next car! Great stablemate too!

Slightly OT, but aerospace engineer and Lancashire - BAE? I think I might've seen your Aston about thinking about it.

Thanks smile

I don't work for BAE, but I work for a company who sub-cons to BAE, so it's probably me you have seen, on one of the very rare occasions I use it for work. smile

Your DB9 is stunning mate, but IMO a hot hatch should always be manual.

That's just my opinion before i get lynched..

Cheers, I used to have the same opinion that all hot hatches should be manual - until I test drove one of these. I love the DSG now, paddleshift is just as fun, if not more! biggrin

Admittedly this is a boring question - but those GTI's have very ambitious published MPG figures. I'd be interested to know what your real world experience is, as i'm quite tempted by one of these.

No idea what's up with the pictures, will try and put some more up after.

Got about 32mpg at the moment, but haven't gone far and mainly on B roads.
