Your T350 a bit scary at speed, if the road isnt perfectly smooth?
I've had my car setup on gaz gold pro's, and its alot better than standard. I still find this quite a scary car to drive at a fast pace.
Am I alone?

Have you checked the tyre pressures? The car can wander at speed if set too high. They should be 24 psi all round if running standard size tyres.

You are not alone. I've checked my tyres are 24 psi all round as indicated. Definite problem with tramlining where the surface is grooved by HGVs.

I'd also say that on Jasper's Drive Espana tour this Spring, this was barely an issue as the Spanish road surfaces are excellent. Our potholes are a nightmare.

Mine does this too, plus i also find my front end "floats", as if i'm losing downforce at anything above 90mph, pressures are set 24 and it's on the original shocks afaik - has anyone else experienced this or know what causes it.

Get yourselves some Vredstein Ultran Sessantas they are the best road tyres for TVR's period.. They have stopped my Tuscan tramlining after literally trying every other option.. probably Worth getting your geometry checked.. to make sure its not out.
T350's generally are a very good handling car.

Don't know too much but this could be caused by too much airflow getting underneath the car. You could try to increase the rake of the car so that the front is nice and low.

I have experienced this and it was because the Nitron shocks had been set too high at the front, allowing too much airflow underneath and affect the handling.

I have those tyres. To be honest, i dont think its anything to do with tyres. Ive got new tyres, geo, suspension, everythings cock on, but I just find it quite a scary car to drive at speed.
Its a great motor, dont get me wrong.

Yes my thoughts too, but my front is already very low, nightmare over humps etc, i think i'll get the garage to check the geo

Mine used to be exactly like this, fix: check your ride-hight.

Told Jason this when I took it in for servicing and he instantly spotted the car had been lowered (by previous owner - front more so than rear) and all that was done to sort this out was setting ride-hight to standard. Nothing to do with shocks or anything as none of that was changed at the time.

May not look as nice but certainly feels a lot more planted now and not scary at all. Can quite happily do 110-120 and more without getting light at the front.

I agree with the above, when I bought mine it was set way too low, had the nitrons adjusted to standard and it handles so much better..

My Tam was similarly bad news until I finally worked out my wooden front tyres were old and very stiff despite being set at the correct pressures. Check the age of your tyres - there will be a four figure number on the sidewall, for example 2309, meaning week of production (23) and year (09). Worth checking to make sure they're not past their best, regardless of tread depth.... its another problem area to rule out

Have to agree with you, T350C, even with Gaz Gold's, properly set up, good grippy tyres etc still a bit scary at speed....

There's the bump steer mod that Jason at Srr8Six does that should help too....

Totally agree. Mine gets very nervous at anything over 100mph. At 166mph it took a lot of concentration to keep it in a straight line.

Have to say I've found mine generally very good. To be honest when there is a problem, it tends to be a certain stretch of road that causes the movement. Driving to work on the same road, I know when I approach a certain part the car will be more lively. Driving some roads at a spirited speed, absolutely no probs. Interestingly, I used to run at 24psi (tyres cold), but when car returned from last service at X Works they measured 25.5psi when cold and I have continued to use that pressure.

I hit that on a runway...vid on youtube. Wouldn't try it on the road, would be game over if someone pulled out on me.

Hi guys!
I've GGP on my T350t rr by 3 months, but they are too soft for me. 11 clicks front - 15 back. Mine should have a total of 20 clicks, right?
I've heard many GGP are defective, how can i understand if mine works fine??

Thanks to all! Max from Italy (the only italian t350 owner, i think)

OK, ride hieght and tyre pressure have been the two biggest factors when sorting my 350's top end speeds. Messed around on the way to Spa & back with both & was amazed at the differance!
I run 888's and found even a couple of psi over correct pressure's unsettled the car at high speed, this was also the case with ride height on the front!
I know several owners have experimented with front splitter's with favourable results, and the Tuscan front splitter fitted to my griff make's a world of differance over a Ton! ;]
