When, like in tonights episode, a company places a huge order; do the contestants in that team actually get to put it into production and keep the profits? or is it just a "fake" order that they'd potentially get? if not id have quit the apprentice right there and then and set up that special stars brand! 800,000 units for a first order and thats just one supermarket chain... huge potential there screw the 250k investment.

There is no biscuit.There is no order.
Do you really believe any major supermarket would buy 800k units from a non-existent manufacturer?

Any deal would be too complicated with the supermarkets wanting to be paid for rack ends.
Quick example. A friend of a friend has an item that he wants to sell through tesco. Everything is great , he notices in the contract that if any stock is shoplifted from tesco guess who pays for it? Yes the supplier.
Other thing was that the order was placed on the basis of exclusivity to asda
