Where something has happened to your car/house/bank account and you have to get up and go and check its alright?
Last night I had a dream about parking up in Brum over night (a reasonable fear) and waking up to find my front bumper missing and 2 wheels clamped.
Took the clamps off due to the chain not being fitted properly and dropped them in a canal.
Talked to some locals and apparently a Integra DC1 lost it on the roundabout next to where I was parked and clipped the front end....Couldn't find the bumper though.
Weird dream.
Woke up just after I found out the bumper was missing, got up, went to check on the car, went back to bed and slipped straight back into the dream...
Weird night.

Well I don't have a car but it involved a car that I want.
Driving through (I think) the stelvio pass with a bunch of other PHer's (well the cars were pretty PH anyway) I was in a Mk1 MX5. Ofcourse the guys in things like TVRs were taking it easy so I was keeping up, anyway came round a turn and the back end of the 5 stepped out slightly, not much but just enough for it to clip the gravel on the edge of a massive drop. So anyway I'm s
tting myself thinking "Is this it am I going over" anyway, managed to bring the back end back in line but as I was doing so the front gripped and chucked the nearside front wheel off the side smashing it into a concrete wall (don't ask it was a dream looked like stelvio anyway just with bigger drops) came back onto the road (blocking it and I was in the middle of the convoy). Had been a brilliant dream up to that point and it had felt like I was there, but anyway the car would probably have been a total loss, the visible damage from the detailed inspection (20 second glance and thinking "st what am I going to do.") was a buckled wheel and the alignment was out. However a guy in a Sag was a mechanic, so we jacked it up and it turned out that my smashing the nearside front wheel into the concrete wall to get it back on the road had actually bent the whole chassis. The car would possibly have been drivable (barely) on the spare but it was bent beyond what could be fixed and would have been pretty much impossible to drive. Then I woke up.
Oh I did also once dream that there was a M3 sat on the drive and that I had the keys to it. Went to look but nope. Just a 325d. Needless to say I was disappointed

Last night I dreamed that I was following the missus down a road local to us when a bloke towing a caravan cut her up by pulling straight out of a side road and straight in front of me, I overtook the caravan/car combo, and gave him a questioning gesture. He responded with a gesture I was number one so I slammed the brakes on and got out, at this point I realised the driver was the bookkeeper for the local Constitutional Club, so i ripped his front numberplate off and threw it into the canal that mysteriously now ran beside the road.

On a similar note in 1985 or so when I was about 16 I had the most vivid dream my Dad had bought me an RS200 and that it was parked on the drive outside. I remember partially waking up and thinking, "wow, can't wait for the morning". Next morning, now fully awake I ran to the window and the car wasn't there. I have a recurring dream that I am reversing in my 200sx and for some reason I can't stop. It always ends in me braced for impact as I see parked cars behind me and I know I am going to hit them. Usually wakes me up.

awesome plot for a film. spielberg will be calling shortly I've had this a few times. It's been true some times too. For example I dreamt my car alarm was going off, woke up and 3 mins later it was going off. (obviously it was going off as I slept but it was weird in the middle of the night)!

I have the dreams about driving the car I've been thinking about that day whether it's ragging an Exige round a track, cruising through Europe in a 1M or doing my commute in a smart looking 123d!!!

I had a recurring a dream as a kid that i was falling, and just before i hit the ground everything goes black and a green and yellow race prepared 60's vw beetle appears, which i fall into and drive away.
Also, taped to the rollcage in the back and around the A pillars are photos of me as a toddler in Greenwich and various parts of SEL.
