Hi I've just bought a Eunos 1.6 biggrin
I'm just wondering what fuel people use, just normal unleaded or higher octane?
Thanks,

Mark

I just use regular 95 Premium U/L. Not aware of any benefits of higher octane fuel in these cars.

Not aware of any noticeable performance benefit, however you might notice slightly smoother running and obviously the detergents etc will clean the engine up a bit.. but thats about it.

I don't think its worth the additional cost really on standard engines.

Mk1 ecu can't take advantage of lower octane fuel so the only reason to use it is the additional detergents. I'd say just use it occasionally (every 10th fill-up maybe?).

Did you mean higher octane?

Any who, I filled her up with optimum the first time so I'll probably just do that every so often.

Oops yes, damn my fingers!

The good thing about the ridiculous price of fuel now is that there isn't a huge difference in price between standard and super UL rolleyes
