WHY is nobody on here mentioning the FALL in fuel prices?!!!
Discussion
Christ, a motoring forum and nobody has mentioned the fuel price drop. Or hasn't anyone noticed or perhaps can't believe it?
Oil prices have fallen 10 per cent in the three days since the International Energy Agency decided to release 60 million barrels of crude onto world markets, with fears of a global slowdown knocking prices.
The global advice group confirmed last week that the extra oil would be released from stockpiles over the next 30 days to make up for production lost because of the civil war in Libya.
Today I noted falls of around 3p a litre locally, not only at Supermarket sites but Esso as well.
And if you do your weekly shop at Sainsburys, they are giving 10p off a litre voucher if you spend 60 quid or more (today until 3 July).

Ok you gotta spend 60 quid, but who doesn't spend that on a weekly shop? More likely double that so we'll be going through with 2 sep trollies if we reach £120 so as to get 2 vouchers.
I should be filling up at around £1.22 a litre.

Nonetheless, it was only last month PHs were saying like everyone else that the 2 quid litre was just around the corner.
There has been no action by anybody, tanker drivers, drivers etc, so it looked inevitable but I always said it wasn't sustainable (lovely 'greenie' word!).
Been to Swindon this morning and blow me down it was 128.70p, that's 7.2 pence less than the 135.90 I was paying last week locally. Swindon is one of the cheapest places for fuel, Esso station on outskirts, so why can't others do it?
My fill up of 60 litres weekly means £224.54 less over a year. I'm not complaining about that!
Every little helps as they say.
My local Shell has changed it's price thrice in the last 24 hours; it was 132.9 late last night, 131.9 at 0630 today and having just nipped past it half an hour ago, it's back at 132.9.
It is a vast hoodwinking exercise in that the masses have been sold the pup of 135+ levels for a while so circa 120-130 feels like some kind of bargain when in fact, it remains a disgraceful rendition of the state as brigand.
