My Griff seems to be a magnet for dust, particles or whatever. Just as it is clean and shiny 20 minutes later - haze of dust. Is this some sort of static phenomenom or just because it is really obvious on a dark coloured car? Why wont it blow off while driving along - sure I'm going fast enough. So how to get rid of it (or avoid it) without causing microscratches in the paintwork. Infuriating.
Always had the same problem with mine. Thought it was just the colour showing it up more. Obviously not !!
I use Meguires. Three stage restorer/polish/wax. Great stuff. Also use the speed detailer spray if I'm away for a weekend (eg Griff Growl) but only if the car isn't in need of a clean.

Get yourselves on over to Detailing World or even the Detailing section on PH, there's always a few threads about cleaning and polishing regime. I used to use the Megs 3 stage system but now only use their paint cleaner, the general view is that the polish is more of a glaze and the wax not up to much. I've now swapped in Autoglym SRP and the results are most impressive and wax with Pete's 53 paste wax.
For washing when dusty, if you can give it a hose down first to remove loose material and then wash using the two bucket method to minimise swirls and scratches. And don't use a sponge or a chammy
