Hello all,

I need a set of rear brake caliper springs for the cerbie. It has developed a rattle from the OSR Caliper. I called TMS but they are out of stock and seeing as they are a low-cost item they are not in a hurry to get them in! These springs slide over the pad split pins.

Does anyone have any ideas where i could pick some up? I do not have a clue where to buy springs from!

AP Dealer like BG Developments should have them.

New springs won't necessarily stop them rattling, the holes in the pad are slotted and it's the pad rising and falling in the caliper that seems to make the noise, (that's what caused mine to rattle anyway). Take the wheel off and try and move the pad by hand and see if it's vertical rather than horizontal movement that produces the rattle. Bit of copper based grease on the backplate edges should cure it.

ALL SORTED!

I got a new set of springs from a local engineering company.

Cured the squeek. The trouble was the pad resting against the disk and not returning to a safe distance!

Thanks guys

Stick them in with silicone

Works a treat. Just a dab on the back
