Water/Dust Proof Car Cover??

Hiho,

I need to get a car cover for Le Mans. I currently have a "half" cover that just fits over the hood and glass.

Any recommendations as to what I should get and from where?

I'm thinking I might get an outdoors cover for my Chim, has anyone bought a cover from "classic additions" link above?

If so, is it a good fit? Would you recomend them? Any coments?

yep, I bought one last year - recently sold it to a fellow PHer due to the fact i am due to get my garage sorted before next winter. I bought the 99% or whatever it is cover as it allows the car to "breath" and therefore it doesnt have to be 100% bone dry before putting away each time. If you get the 100% waterproof and there is a hint of any water on the car you risk the paintwork bubbling.

The fit was very good, although you do need to make sure its securely fixed down in high winds. I had the optional lock and would recommend that as well as bungee straps front and back. with those, secure and good fit

I've got one. Works fine - nice soft fabric inside to protect the paint work, with an air vent.

Yes & yes, very good quality.

make sure it is securely attached so it doesnt move around in the wind and that there is no sh*te on your paintwork otherwise it will get scratched

Note from experience, as said before make sure the car is clean, or mostly clean before fitting the cover, as the Chimaera seems to be the easiest car in the world to scratch. Secondly, the neighbours were recently doing some building work, and just the dust in the air, after two days got so thick in the cover, that even when putting cover on a clean car the dust and dirt was scratching the car. I've now reverted to leaving the cover off mostly, and only fitting it when I know I'm not gonna use it for a while or when you know the lord is about to really open the heavens and drown the car!
