Saw a commercial for these last night;

http://gopro.com/cameras/hd-motorsports-hero-camer...

Anyone got one or used one? For $300, the results looked quite good, some good video's on there.

There are some good cheap cameras available like the 808, approx £20 with a card.

I started looking at the 808 and then found this site, http://www.techmoan.com/

Quite fancy two of those HD cameras in a small flashlight case, a bit of gaffer tape and thats the front and rear view sorted.

I've used both the 808 cameras and recently upgraded to a gopro hd. I track day a westfield and race a honda civic, after getting the gopro, I wouldn't go back, they are superb, although I got good results with the 808 and you cant knock it for under a tenner. Here's some vids to give you some idea of quality etc.

I really like my GoproHD.

Get the extra screen for it. Makes it ALOT easier to use and set up and makes menu system much simpler to navigate through

I have an HD Hero too, and amazed by the quality, given its size. So you rate these add on screens then? I was looking at those last week, what's the best deal on them? Would like a means of charging the battery from a fag lighter, what do I need for that? Cheers.

You just need to do an update of software apparently... I did this, so that the screen would work.

it does....

but it won't charge from a cig lighter still. It says it should... but it wont.

Screens awesome. Worth the money for sure.

Cool videos, out of interest how did you edit the 808 video footage to get split screen. What software did you use?

Just seen this, sorry. Yes, it was me, we were talking about the diesel like torque of the Pinto, great engine, I loved my 2.4 one with a Holbay Group A cam in it. It shook things loose, Loctite was my friend, but it pulled like a juggernaut wink It was in my Skoda Special Saloon. See you around again I hope, take care.

Mine charges from a cig lighter and you can get the skeleton case for it so you can charge it while recording
