I was playing Black Ops the other day, doing rather well and I happened to be killing one player in particular quite often, but thought nothing of it. This chap then sent me several voice messages containing some of the most aggressive and racist abuse I've ever heard. Of the plethora of EDL-esque comments, those that spring to mind are...
angry man said:
"You dirty fking n*****r, you're just a little w** , go and fking die in a pile of your own n*****r st"
"What's your post-code? I'm going to find you and stab you to death like Stephen Lawrence"
"You black piece of st, I'm going to fking kill you and your dirty n*****r mum"
It's probably worth mentioning that whilst I'm actually whiter than a fresh bed sheet, my gamertag might suggest otherwise (BOOMBACLAAAT - no idea why I chose that but it seemed better than mantis5683xyz at the time). Unfortunately I'm not powerfully built, nor do I have a goatee or a no-fat frame (I did grow a fantastic ginger hobo tramp beard when I was unemployed though) so I didn't respond to his chat up lines and reported him to xbox live like a good boy.

What are the likely consequences for this lovely chap? I'd hope him and his machine get banned, but I understand you don't get to find out the consequences. And has anyone else been on the receiving end of any similarly bat-st mental internet crazy folk?

hehe You realise this is PH, so that kind of stuff is required around here, yes?

I believe the correct response is:

U Mad.

Then wait for his four letter worded reply followed up by:

Yep U mad.

Drives them insane I hear hehe

I meant similarly crazy racist mentalism, as described in my OP.

AFAIK the folk on PH can be a bit odd at times, but don't often request a fellow user's postcode so they can meet up for a cheeky pint and a casual bit of racially motivated murder.

Disturbing but don't worry about it, there are many odd folks hurling abuse about.
Think what it's like to be in the public eye, all the abuse and threats 'the famous' get from oddballs on their myface/twitter pages.

Report them on Live, and then move on. There are quite a few angry people out there.

File complaint, move on. You won't change the chav BNP/ EDL retards.

I was playing on my wife's account the other day which clearly shows her as Japanese, and after whooping some Norweigian kid (who wouldn't shut up bhing the whole game), received a racist message from him afterwards.

XBL take a dim view of racism so reporting will result in action. If you want to speed things up post a message on the Xbox forums with his gamertag asking what you should do about it - your post will probably be deleted, but you will alert the mods who will look out for the report being filed.

The world is full of such people, especially in gaming circles if you are better than they are.Kids who like to swear when Mummy and Daddy are out of the room etc.Such abuse often coincides with school holidays. The same type of people can turn any comments on any youtube link into a race riot.

Have come across loads of these people in my time and it winds them up no end if you are nice as pie back to them. The last one I remember on LIVE suggested he was going to f##k my Mum.I said go ahead and that I would get him the address of the cemetery if necrophilia was his thing. It went quiet after that.I would like to think I 'showed him', but in reality he was probably on google looking up necrophilia.

Oh and my Mum is alive and well (and living in Droitwich?)

I had some chap hurl all sorts of abuse a few weeks back (was also playing Black Ops). I entered the lobby and out of nowhere some guy kicked off like you wouldn't believe. I'd never even uttered a word to the bloke before let alone even played in the same game as the angry young man.

His onslaught was seriously deranged and this is no exaggeration. There are quite a few animals on XBOX Live and mute works a treat.

The XBOX in game chat feature has gone seriously down hill compared to the early days of the consoles release. I don't bother with a headset anymore.

My GT on xbox is Akmedlovespork and I once got loads of abuse from a scouser calling me a "MUZZY CcensoredT" It was pretty funny at the time because the more mad he got the more I drove into him/beat him on Grid smile

Back in the days of cod4 when we didn't use party chat, I used to quite enjoy when some random 12 year old boy/girl (they sound the same) would kick off. We would then have a collective piston headers put down session which normally resulted in them going off to cry... I seem to remember someones dad coming on over the mike to have a go at us for upsetting his little st of a son once.

Ahh those were the days!

Or have the headset plugged in, but dont use it. That way game chat is removed from game audio and is the lease amount of hassle to do. Mine usually just sits on sofa if I dont know anyone in the lobby

When many of the PH regs on XBL play we tend to stay in team chat, occasionally dropping into game chat at the end of a game just to hear the moaning that the other team had been creamed.

Lost track of the number of times we've had 13 y/o Americans threatening to abuse our mothers and doubting our parentage, best way to wind them up more was to do the full on 'British' accent using phrases like chocks away chaps, damn good show, jolly good and anyone for cucumber sandwiches all in your best Mr Chubblywarner voice.

The other thing is just to send them a quick message back....

'Thank you for your feedback, you comments will be taken into consideration and then ignored'

Then immediately block communication so when they type more abuse and try and send it they get the blocked message come up smile

In game chat is long since dead now. It's true you do get annoying children playing music/singing/shouting abuse down the mic, was funny playing halo when you could abuse them when you got close to them on the map and then whilst tea bagging them :P

However party chat is the way forward. Just play online with your mates and chat in a party, that way you dont have to put up with the crap and you then just get messages after games on Battlefield saying OOOMGGGG your such a hacker blah blah, but good value for money!

Funniest day ever!!!!

Little kid team kills like mad then tries to back chat in a really high voice. I think I asked "FFS how old are you?". His reply "I'm 8, nearly 9". PHer's tell him to go and play an adult game. Kid gets upset and cries. Angry scouse Dad comes on having a go at us for upsetting his 8yr old. Entire lobby (including non PHer's) start repeating Harry Enfield style "eh eh calm down eh Calm down". Angry Dad gets angrier. Everyone else crying with laughter at him and ramps up the abuse.

I seem to remember someone saying something about reporting him to xbox for letting an 8yr old play an 18 game... then he left laugh

If someone sends me an abusive message over xbox for being better atthe game than them I usually reply with "your Mum didn't mind" then I block them so they can't reply and report them to xbox live laugh

Obviously none of this is very clever or grown up.... but it is fking funny smile
