Vauxhall guys, can you give a rough estimate really quickly?

My sister's car died yesterday, my over-the-phone diagnosis was the alternator, I was proven correct today when she had it dragged to a Vx main dealer.

So, they want to charge her £495 to replace the alternator... does that sound reasonable in any way?

Oh, it's a 2007 diesel Corsa.

Oh, it's a 2007 diesel Corsa.

If I remember correctly the vacuum pump is on the back of the alternator which makes it bloody expensive, so about right I think.
