Second Battery

Have fitted a secon battery in a works van to power a WFP system.

Can I run a feed direct from the alternator to the second battery?

If not, what do I need to do?

You really need to fit a split charging system - common amongst caravanning wkers.

You need to wire in split charging relay, of the self switching variety.

split charge system with the most appropriate type of battery as the auxiliary as others have said unless you just want to parallel a pair of new batteries and run the risk of flattening them both and being left stuck ...
