Have just discovered that 3rd brake light on my car doesn't actually have the LED unit fitted inside it (DOH! So that's why it doesn't work..), so was searching the web for info. This site (www.pelicanparts.com/911/911tech_articles_late.htm) has some nicely done technical articles with piccies and all.

Might be useful to someone - I recall the issue of replacing brake light LED's has been raised on this forum before - 'tis the subject one of the articles.

Don't knock it until you've tried it. Watch out in the wet with your new toy, Ferg

Don't worry, I will fit the car with the latest addition to Road Angel's arsenal - the badger detector. Should give me enough time for a bit of oppo lock and a lurid power slide away from said hedge....

In theory.... but as we are all aware, by the time the alarm sounds it's probably too late and the next step will be to park it in a tree somewhere (hopefully not though).

Still won't be as scary as Cadwell in the wet on my R1 the other day (even with full wets, it was spinning up everywhere - a true weapon of ass destruction me thinks)

Hehe, what you need is a device that moves the engine from the rear of the car to the front in an emergency

R1 at Cadwell must be scary... too much throttle and you'd probably exit Charlies on your arse and end up sliding to Louth
