Ford Mondeo cooled seats - are mine working properly?

Afternoon all,

I've recently picked up a 2005 Mondeo Tit X with the heated and cooled seats option which I was quite excited about

I've got to say though the cooled seats have been a bit dissapointing so I just wanted to see if anyone has got them/had them and gauge thier opinion.

The fans on mine certainly spin up when you switch them on and seem to go faster as you increase through the five settings.. trouble is the seat doesn't seem to get any colder

So are the cooled seats a bit of gimic or very subtle.. or are mine a bit rubbish!

According to the manual, for best effect you must put the floor vents on with the aircon. Frozen feet before cool ass, I'd recon, though.

Gimmick I'd say, a fan blowing the air that is in the cabin on your ass through the seat is hardly ever going to feel cool IMO.
