I went on Thursday and found that the evening was best time to take photos without hoardes of people swarming all over cars and walking through your 1 second opportunity to take a shot.

Some of my picces from an excellent day.
Suckers & Wings

The amazing Indy car display

Clarksons E Type

Now where did I put that lottery ticket...

Want.
Williams & Renault

Last year I was a bit critical of the event, thought it was even losing its way a little with too much time & effort giving over to road cars. This year the emphasis seems to have swung back towards the racing cars and was far better for it. The IndyCars were amazing and nice to see the Lotus 102, 88B & 93T, the Mazda 787 and the Chaparrals.
Only bad point was at lunchtime with that cannon shot (which must have caused a couple of heart attacks.) followed by the gawdawful Hendrix-lite guitar solo through the stupidly loud PR system on top the house. What was that about?

I've got a very large pile of photos from yesterday to sort through, but for now 3 photos which don't look like cars at all.

at least they didn't repeat that pointless 'cars and guitars' thing from last year. However i'm prepared to forgive a lot to witness a rare outing of a Mazda 787

Ex F1 ace Mike Wilds has been
it up the hill
Here is a video of it going up Goodwood Hill on Friday lunchtime
