Free driveaway insurance?

Having listed my BM 528 i am obviously in the market for a new barge. I settled on looking for a post 2003 Audi A8, 4.2 is possible.

Now the only issue would be returning the vehicle home, as i am willing to travel the country to find the right one.

My son will be on my policy as he has been for the past couple of years but Churchill advise he cannot be on it until he turns 21, which is fine and totally understandable.

However, should the right car turn up before that (he is 21 on August 30th) i have seen some trade ads listing their cars with free drive away insurance for 7 days.

Who does this include? is there an age limit or what ever, as it would mean i could drive both of us in a company vehicle to the Audi location, and he could return it. (again he cannot be on the company lease insurance un until he is 21, we work for the same company).

Is it a case of just wait until he is 21 and drive it back with our current churchill policy swapped to the A8, or does the 7 day driveaway insuance some dealers include, cover any age driver?

The stuff we use (which is supplied by Aviva) is only available for 21+ I believe. Excess is normally £500 or there abouts.

Fair enough. I can't see the BM selling any time soon as nobody wants big petrol engines!

I like the train idea, would make a good day of it knowing you'll possibly be driving home something special. (or not so )

It won't help that the headline says £2849 yet the text says £3149
