I'm in the process of buying a new house in Welwyn Garden City - already live here with the other half but buying a new place together. It's a new-ish build so nothing particularly fancy or complicated, but there are lots of minor(ish) changes we will want to make. I'm keen to get any recommendations for trades... so please add any here if you have them (or are one yourself!)

In no particular order:

2 bathrooms to be gutted and refitted (I will probably supply suites/tiles etc), another to be retiled
Decorator (probably most of a 5 bed house in multiple stages)
Plasterer (reskim a couple of ceilings)
Kitchen - refurb cupboard doors (painted real wood, need repainting)
Block paving - extend current driveway
Conservatory - plan/design/supply/fit
Garden Office - plan/design/supply/fit
Carpenter - to raise garage roof trusses by around 8" (to fit Hamer car lift. This is PH after all!)

For plastering I would recommend Ray from Hertford.

I got his number of our local town forum and he is highly recommended. Did our through lounge diner which was a big job, very efficiently, reasonable price and at the quoted price, no 'hidden extras'. Excellent quality.

I can pass you his number on pm if you like.

I cannot recommend highly enough:

http://blueskykitchens.co.uk/

I had him do our kitchen, bathroom and some work on new fitted cupboards in our dining room and some door hanging and other such tasks. He is a skilled carpenter and his work is second to non. I can email pics of you like.

Please give Richard above a call because i know he is currently struggling to find enough work, yet his quality of work is unrivalled and he is very competative.

Also he has a portfolio of work including conservatories and other things, so I am sure he could tick many of your boxes for what you need doing.
