So, a large section of the B1228 north of Ellerton has now been resurfaced with what could pass as a decent bit of black stuff

If you are nearby you might want to have a dabble, its a massive improvement on what it was and can be quite enjoyable now, traffic permitting

Shame for all involved! 2 hurt in a serious crash though, esp. one motorcyclist (when aren't we seriously hurt when involved in an RTA? Mountain/molehill?

the incident didn't happen on the resrufaced bit, but at the crossroads on the long straight up towards Melbourne. Not sure what happened but there have been a few incidents there. Most often it seems a car pulls out across the give way line at the crossroads in front of a bike that is travelling along the straight - often, according to investigators, the bike is massively over the speed limit.
