Afternoon all.

My mum has a random plant growing rather quickly in her front garden and she has no idea what it is. I've told her it's a Triffid, but she won't believe me. hehe

So basically, before this plant takes over the world, can anyone tell me what it is?

It's a freak version of the foxgloves growing next to it.

Why is everything 'random' these days? Does nothing happen by design any more?

Poor education. I was expecting a string of numbers in the flowerbed.

But if they were really numbers they wouldn't be a string. smile

I would hope they'll pop up one at a time... at random.

It's a Verbascum, possibly olympicum or Mullein if you'd prefer a commoner name.

It's not a random plant it's one that adapted to your local conditions that's why it's there. A random plant would be a mango or bladderwrack which wouldn't grow there.

I interpreted random as being 'appearing naturally'; ie windblown seed etc.

That word 'Random' over the past few years seems to be part of the staple vocabulary of people who don't seem to know what the hell it means.

Title of the thread should read "When unknown plants attack!"

It is by no means a random plant! I hate that fking word!

Roll a dice, the number you end up with is fking random, not your foxglove.

That's like such a totally random thought?

Maybe it wasn't random. Maybe the plant singled him out for attack...
