Just won this little beauty.....
She's the second S111 I've had, the first one was a basket case which I rebuilt with a new chassis etc when I was 17. I'm nearly 40 now and couldn't be bothered with the ag so was looking for one nearly done.
She has a galvanised chassis, parabolic springs and has been re-wired.
I'm getting the p!ss ripped out of me by the Mrs for being so excited.
Plans are blue Soft top, white wolf wheels, 235 85 Mud terrains and spare on the bonnet. If I get really carried away I'll fit a Tdi!
Pick up Sat morning and she'll then share the drive with our other slightly newer LR....

And I thought it was luxurious!!!! Ever seen a Series 2?Edit to add.... The idea is for the kids to learn in and use when they're old enough Jacko. Gives me a few years of playing before I have to hand it over.

So she's home after a 400 mile round trip. Picked up new boots too so now she looks like a Land Rover should
She's very straight
But, the bulkhead needs attention
Other than that and leaving a lot of oil all over the front of my following discovery I'm very happy.
Off to buy a full gasket set....

Update...
New soft top and sticks, deluxe bonnet with wheel well, front 'D' rings and tailgate which I side hung using the old door hinges. There are a pair of rebuilt axles in the workshop with 3.5 RR diffs and new springs and shocks as well as a rebuilt low comp V8 and S3 box with overdrive ready to fit but I'll wait until spring just in case we get some snow.
I renewed the hub gaskets and hub caps and also rebuilt the freewheel hubs to try and save some oil at least!
