What car for 19 year old?

I can't decide which car to choose from the following, i am 19 and have checked out the insurance on all of them already.

120d m sport coupe

or

Scirroco GT 170



The all have simular (ish) performance so for me performance is not the deciding factor, as i am 19 ill be the 1st to admit looks and cool factor are very important and i cant decide which is the coolest of the two.

which one do you think would be the coolest for a 19 yr old?

i have only been driving a year and 170bhp is plenty of power for me + i want good mpg when i say cool i'm obviously referring to the cars appearance.

You are obviously loaded as you are 19 and want to buy a £15k car, so why is MPG so important?

Like i said 170bhp is more than enough for me, i just don't see the point of buying something that will use twice the fuel when i will be perfectly happy with something that uses less.

What sort of cars are you used to driving that have allowed you to come to such a strict judgement?

I know the bmw will be the better handling one but like i say performance isn't the deciding factor im 19 and want to look cool

Prefer the BM however the correct answer is VW Polo on a H plate.
I don't know a single 19yr old that could afford either of those cars.....

Personally I would go for the 120d mate, I test drove one last week and loved it.

They are both very cool imo, but i would say for a 19 yr old you would look super cool in a m sport coupe! more so than a middle aged person would.

120D is the better car but I prefer the looks of the Scirocco.

120d, without a shadow of a doubt.

Not a slow car at all, it should be pointed out. The 120d is one of the best compromise cars that I know of, particularly in M Sport spec.

I love the look of the VW, but I prefer the overall package that the BMW delivers. If looks are the only consideration then perhaps the 1-Series coupe is not the right choice, but as an overall package the BMW is the better car.
