While waiting for my turn for the MOT, a guy approaches. Here's the conversation:

"Wow! This is the most beautiful car I've ever seen. What is it?"
"A TVR Tuscan," says I, adding helpfully, "Tuscan S. Top of the line. British handmade cars."
"Ah. Never heard of them. What's TVR stand for? It must be a short for something?"

This is when I realise we're heading off into la-la land...

"Err... Trevor."
"I see," replies the guy as he back off, and I can see him thinking "Well if you didn't feel like talking to me, you could just have said so, you tt."

The joys of TVR ownership. Never ceases to amuse you.

Anyone out there with a suggestion for a more 'exotic' name?

Could always go for the old one of "Travels Very Rapidly" or for those who like to knock our marque of choice "Travels Very Rarely"
