Shipping a bike from UK to Holland

I don't know whether this is economically feassible, but if it is, what would be the easiest/cheapest way? Sadly I don't have the time to cycle it.

When you say you don't have time - could you do it on a weekend / overnight?

Where is it going to in Holland?

I went on the Harwich / Hoek van Holland ferry last month as a foot passanger, and it was pretty cheap - you can either drive to Harwich, or there are train stations at both ends (I'll let you guess which end has the best service....)

A courier is going to be pretty expensive if you are not a regular customer I suspect

What type of bike is it and whats the value?

if the bike is worth it, buy a bike box and send it there through the pst. use someone like collectmyparcel to get the best rates, dont use the post office. then you have a bike box for future use and a pretty good guarantee it will be safe in transit

I used Parcels2go the other month to ship a frame to Holland, all was good.

Bike is nothing special, a Kinesis Maxlight, but I do rather miss it. Anyone have any good guesses on the dimensions with the front wheel removed and a 19" frame?

I only get 1.5 days off per week and going back, just rto come straight out again seems a little pointless. Might just try and find a decent value Dutch cruiser.
