I am considering buying a used diesel Discovery and have seen one advertised as benefitting from improved economy (27-28mpg instead of 23-34) due to the above. Can anyone confirm if this is likely? Thanks.

Ummm, which Discovery...... idea

Tuning can make them more economical for a give performance, i.e. if you used to thrash the tits off it before, but now drive it more gently as you can still go just as fast for less effort. In this case it'll likely be better on fuel.

However if you still drive the tits off it, then it'll drink more than before.

But really need to know a little more about the exact vehicle you are talking about.

Hi, refering to a 2005, 2.7 Td V6 - assuming it was driven in a similar manner could an air filter and intercooler change improve fuel efficiency?
