Sensor Swabs

I have some pretty obvious 'spots' on the Sensor of my 7D..... and was wondering if anyone has attempted to use Sensor Swabs?

OR would it be best to find a Canon repair centre (London area?)

I have tried the rocket blower and also the cameras own self cleaning system, and neither seem to rid the sensor of these pesky spots

I've used those on my old 40D and both of my 5D mk II's and they do a great job. Just make sure you get the right swab for your camera and the right type of fluid for your sensor (E2 for Canon sensors). Sometimes it can take a couple of them to get the sensor clean.

Both my 30D and 5D have been used/abused in various conditions, if I had to send them away every time the sensor was spotty I'd never get to use them!

+1 for sensor swabs, just follow the instructions carefully!
