Blasted Pine Martins

Third time now that one of the cars has been 'attacked' by Pine Martins.
This time arount the sod ate all the vacuum hoses before coming to a swift end when i started the car - body still wedged in the bay.
The garage are suggesting a system that emits a high pitched tone to deter the buggers - €200 fitted, not bad until I factor in three bloody cars.
It has been suggested that there are other methods to repel the suicidal critters.
Any suggestions?
(and yes, pissing over the engine has been put forward as an option.)

I am buying an air rifle, having identified where they are living and now seeing one in the derelict office next to mine.
Agree on teh Curry powder, I once had a car that smelt of Curry when i purchased it - never did go away, and as much as I love the stuff, it did get a bit much.
