Radio panel re-veneer

The radio panel on my chim (early car) is complete shot, all the veneer has gone due to the metal behind rusting.

The dash is ok, not brilliant but i can live with it. the wood is a light colour, not the usual dark walnut. Whats the best way to sort it out? can it be done DIY, if so where does one get veneer or is there reputable company who would do it?
