Velux Integra windows (electric)

Anyoe got any experience of these? Looking at some for a bathroom with very high ceiling (3m) and tempted, but thy're £500ish each instead of £180 for manual :-O

The DC5 is newer, but for the best experience, go for a DC2.

If they're out of reach you can use a stick with a hook on the end;)


The best ventilation for a bathroom is mechanical, ie extract fan, so unless you have a particular want for opening the windows regularly I wouldn't bother.

Although if heat build up in summer is an issue then one operated via a thermostat is nice.

Don't forget it's probably best if you go for the White PVC wrapped ones over the standard pine if it's going in a bathroom

No experience but where we are working at the moment has some installed in the lounge and bathroom working via a wall mounted panel and they are a nice looking/working piece of kit.

The bathroom ones are plastic coated and the finish is very good.

Velux have released solar powered windows to replace the standard Integras.

Look at these if you're considering powered windows, the extra over mains powered is less than the cost of putting a power point in.
