White smoke from a Diesel - Water?

I have weird problem with my Mazda6 Diesel. It's a 55 plate car, with 96k on the clock. It has a recent cambelt and some service history.
So, down to the problem. I have this very occasional problem with the car. As I leave home in the morning, everything is fine. Around half a mile from my house, on a NSL single carriageway, I have to climb a moderatley steep hill to a 'T' junction.
At the top of the hill, the car will sometimes kick out some white smoke, jst as the car "tilts" on the hill. IT continues until I pull into the other road and get on the flat. It NEVER happens when cold on my way home from work, nor does it happen if I'm taking a different route from home.
There is no oil in the water, no mayonaise in the oil cap, or any other obvious symptoms of the dreaded HGF. The only common thing I can think of is the air con is running from when I set off.
So, strange one, why would it smoke, just on hill!

Maybe the oil is overfilled so a hill tilts it somehow, not sure how the DPF works but maybe that as well..
I thought of that to be honest. I have checked the oil level, it's fine. Or at least appears to be. To whomever mentioned injectors - I will look into that, as it's getting 40-42 MPG, and that is abuot 4 or 5 lower than most people experience on owners forms etc

If it's when cold when going up a hill then it's possible it water vapour in one of the silencer. Going up a hill might just exaggerate it so it's more visible from the drivers seat.
Hi folks. Thanks for replies. It could be steam, but it sort of lingers, and is rather dense! The engine in the Mazda warms up very quickly, but this is during the warm up process! For whomever suggested chop it in, I've only had it 2 weeks, and nope, no warranty, twas a private sale.
