Cheap vacuum sealer
Discussion
I see Lidl have a cheap vacuum sealer this week, is a cheap one false economy or worth it for occasional use?

I've got a commercial machine so it uses a different type of bag which are much cheaper (about 2p) and I use mine for everything. Great for freezing portion controlled stuff down. Curries, bolognaise, sauces and soups etc. Or buy stuff in bulk and portion it up, meat etc
The bags for this one work out to about 16p each (according to eBay) so I guess you need to factor that in but for occasional use it looks fine. Just bear in mind the vacuum it produces will be relatively low, should be fine for home use though.

Thanks Tony, from what i have read it appears you can use standard freezer bags in it as well, so might be a cheaper route. might give it a try as it's cheap.
