Forgot how good 8k feels!

Evening PH

I hadn't driven my Skyline GTR since January when I took it to a rolling road day, and immediately after got sorned and sat till now. In the mean time I'd been using the 535d and looked pretty much converted to the effortless diesel power and great torque figures and and doubted my need for the skyline at all, seeing as the BMW was quite an accomplished car for all my day to day needs.

Then I popped over a friends house to drop off his jump pack to him and he told me to "clean that car for fk sake, poor thing!". With just a ten minute clean the car looked sparkly silver again so I contemplated putting it up for sale while it looked nice, but thought I'd leave it to some other time.

Then on the way home I got stuck behind a car transporter doing no more than 5 mph. It's at this point all the love and affection came flooding back as I stuck it in 1st and floored it past. I completely forgot the buzz you get when the revs rise and the turbos spool up and you get thrown back in your seat.

I've fallen in love with revs again. Don't get me wrong, I won't be getting rid of the BMW any time soon as IMO it doesn't have any flaws, but bloody hell, my skyline has moved me!

I was in the diesel camp for months until today!

Just thought I'd share my life changing experience with you guys.
