I know a couple of guys who run a "charity" like our friend Mahmood here in Birmingham.

They are both horrible, horrible people.

To the extent that I know they have a deal with a local drug dealer who is allowed and actively encouraged to sell to their "clients". For a fee, of course!

"Persuaded" owners that they didn't need soliciotrs of their own and to use Mr M's.

Promised them low tenancy for life which wasn't in the contract.

Gazumped them the night before completion with some bks about not getting the financ for the full amount. 10% drop in programme.

Refused to do maintenance on said property for tenant. Then said that because the tenants weren't looking after the property, the rent was going up (double on show example) significantly or GTFO.

Not exactly news though, does no-one remember Rachman? The laws governing tenancy are fairly simple and are drafted to favour the tenant more often than not; if people choose not to inform themselves of their rights and obligations they stand a chance of getting bent over. QED.
