Just wondering how many noise days, tracks normally have per year?

I dont mind travelling to different tracks to get my allication

Im building my racecar at the moment but will want to do some trackdays in it first just so i can learn the car and set it up properly.

now due to funds ill only probably have the money to do it 6 times max next year.

Now since im building it now i need to decide what to do on exhausts, if it ever becomes road legal then noise isnt a concern but on track it is.

The idea is im going to have the downpipe exit down onto the flat floor which then will feed the gas onto the diffuser.......like f1 cars but only 0.1% as effective.....plus it will all help to keep the weight down.

Im sure your all wondering why dont i just stick an exhaust on it, but to give you an idea, this is the sort of system id have to build to be able to run full power on a normal 100db track day

for reference, thats 4in pipe so you can work out how big them boxes are, so as you can see, its something i want to avoid fitting if i can avoid it.

for reference im guessing on full boost ill be around 120db without that monster exhaust

Noisy test days are going to be your only option, I think. You cant really expect a TDO organiser to accept a car like this onto a normal day, even if they do have a more generous noise limit (and if they did, itd be an awful lot quiter than 120dB, which is deafening!).

Honestly? Yer fked.

The only thing you might be able to do is to get it out on a noisy donington trackday but I reckon they'd say no.

its a tough one, i only know of donnington at the moment that does noisy days.

yep thats stavs, we have been chatting about it on facebook as we are both have the same problems as we both want full power on track, not running just wastegate pressure to keep the noise down

I spoke to ClubMSV last year about hosting a noisy track day at one of their tracks, Snetterton - they are/were able to do a limited number of noisier days per year (week days only). Due to higher costs of hosting this even, I don't think they had too much uptake and the event never happened. Might be worth talking to them.

My Cerb is about 120dB at full chat but with track cans I can just about make it down to 105dB at 2/3 revs static testing.

Loud but not too loud;-)

Loads of tracks do 105 days - he's on about 120 which is a very different beast.
