Whenever I have cleaned the car using Meguiars people actually comment on how shiny it looks!
That has always been good enough review for me.
Although my Dad swears by Mer, to be fair it does look good.
On the same topic, what about interior? I have cloth interior and my doughnut OH spilt st all over the passenger seat. It's gone a weird white colour and a bit sticky - haven't tried anything yet but anyone got any ideas?
(It's not funny to suggest what the weird white sticky stuff might be)

Anyone else found the Megs Gold car wash is really greasy...? I couldn't dry my car very well at all after using it... it just seemed to leave a really nasty wet residue on the car body so you just pushed it around with your drying cloth.
Autoglym car wash (green) is much nicer in that regard, as is Megs hyperwash (pink gallon container)... both seem slick when washing, but sharper when drying, and give a better 'wax' coat over the next few days...

Shaw Tarse, Can I move it? If so, how do I do it?
Chop1000, cheers for your response.
I have to say, I didn't know Meguiars was going to be such a popular contender. Was thinking that Autoglym or Zymöl would be getting the most support. Interesting!
I remember when I was young I used to work at a Car Valeters and we used Autoglym. It's good stuff and I still use their tyre dressing and some of their niche products are really good like glass polish and bug/tar remover. However I think the fact that so many valeters use it is that it really is a commercial product, although they sell to the consumer at Halfords etc.Chop1000, cheers for your response.

I have also used Natty's Paste in the past which is really good for a show n shine effect, but pretty pricey for a weekly polish!
Bottom line is in my opinion you can't beat meguiars Polish for the price it is. At the moment I am using this with Mer shampoo and it looks great!

Definitely, I used Megs gold wash and afterwards wanted to wash the car again. It seemed tricky to polish afterwards.Autoglym car wash (green) is much nicer in that regard, as is Megs hyperwash (pink gallon container)... both seem slick when washing, but sharper when drying, and give a better 'wax' coat over the next few days...

Looking at all the responses I would say it's really down to taste. I'm sure once you reach a certain price it can't actually get any better.
As with all retail products, you will find something you like and therefore it is the best (for you!). I rate Meguiars, but it's just my opinion. I'm sure other people will have had bad experiences with it and prefer Autoglym/Turtle Wax/Simoniz etc etc
Try a couple out and check the results, if you want to get really anal then take some pics to compare.

Anyone else got any further info to add?
The market is flooded with good car care products, especially if shopping online, after that it is a matter of finding a product/s that you like.Anyone else got any further info to add?
Have a look over on the detailing world forum, there is plenty of info on there.

Thanks again for all the responses everyone.
I was just wondering, does anyone know what products a place like DK Engineering would use? Just seen a pic on classifieds (of a Porsche 911 GT3) and the thing looks amazing. Is it the process or the number of times it's been done, the tools (such as buffer jobby) or is it the products?
Just curious really and any info would be great!
Cheers

DK engineering have their cars detailed by a Detailing company , which is more skill time than products . I was just wondering, does anyone know what products a place like DK Engineering would use?
