Favourite we have tried thus far (cafetiere) is Tchibo Cafe Classic - but you can only buy it in bulk order (min £50 spend)
I think its a medium strength. Doesnt leave a acid after taste.

any recommendations?

I have a liking for Brazil Fazenda Cachoeira da Grama Bourbon. Have a look at www.hasbean.co.uk excellnt cupping notes to go with all the beans on offer.

We like Lavazza (red and silver packet) Its a bit fine ground for a cafetiere but we still use it, and we also use it in a filter machine.

Yet to have a bad coffee from HasBean (I subscribe). Really liked some of their Geisha micro-lots in particular.

Burnt. Don't like it at all frown

I like 'barista reserve' and 'kenya pea berry' from coffee direct. Very reasonably priced and always turns up double time.

Lavazza Oro (gold packet) is nice as is the espresso blend in the black packet. It's much smoother around the edges than Illy.

I quite like both of the above, and currently enjoying Lavazza Tierra! in my espresso machine.

yes Lavazza Caffe Espresso - in cafetière in the office or aluminium stove top pot at home.
A good sized mug every morning, not of your poncy espresso thimbles here.

I love Sulawesi Kalossi (And now boycott Starbucks as they bought the entire crop for their "Reserve" range) though my local coffee roaster in Blackburn has got some in (bought a load today lick).

Yes, Lavazza Red label is very good, my wife gets through bales of it.
