loved it but it had its issues
bought a calypso red VX220 N/A from a lad up in newcastle was a cat C but had been fully repaired
from

to this

it had done less than 16k when i bought it had i checked out at a lotus specialist who gave it the all clear so paid for it and headed home.

it was only a short romance though as it ended up been too impractical especially when driving back to the inlaws ayr after a party in sterling setting off at about 1am never having driven it in the dark before find out that both headlights were pointing south and i couldnt see more than about 5ft in front of me frown

nursed it back then set about trying to fix the expensive lumps of crap that are vx headlights reputedly about 700 each i wasnt wanting to buy new ones so cut a section out the back with a soldering iron and glued the adjuster back where it should be then stuck it back together with silicone ok maybe that was a bit but the cars built with the stuff so quite fitting smile

kept it a while and enjoyed the summer but after a few bad cases of sunburn and almost dehydration from baking from heat from the road heating up the alu floor the radiator hoses through the drivers sill and the heat beating down from the sun i decided to give it up and sold it on for more than i paid smile first and only time ive managed that great car though and id have another but this time id have to wear a hat smile

no and an asthmatic dog is used to power the blower the fact the ducting from the heater matrix just floats above the outlet doesnt help so you get more bees coming through the vents than cool air.

obviously cool air isnt as much of an issue when moving but get stuck in a jam and then you suffer. you could put the roof on but then it goes like a greenhouse smile

great fuel economy though. granted it may not be the most important aspect when buying a sports car but it sure does help.

would go for a turbo next time though

At least you got pics of the car after the smash so you could see what was done etc. Too many about trying to hide accident damage etc!

Really fancy one of these, might be tempted if theres any cheap in the winter.... too much demand for them atm
