Any major reason not to buy an import x5?

Bacially ive found a German 2009 BMW X5, approx £4-5k lower that the same uk Model
Its from an independant car dealeship.
Would that saveing 'vanish' on resale?
Better staying with uk models?
I have no experience of buying an import car btw
Any thoughts?

I think it depends on how long you're planning to keep it for. I presume it's no longer under warranty?

Is it Right hand drive?

If it is left hand drive, the 4-5k saving would be lost come resale time, would be a hard car to shift again if it is i reckon

Its RHD, still has 18 months warranty on it

From experience be sure you check if all European taxes (VAT etc have been paid) other wise you are liable for them.

a lot of imports don't have the same BMW 3 year warranty, check that it is the manufacturer's one not a third party one for the second and third year.
