I want to have a go at filming from the handlebars when out on the trails with mates. Some of the 'watch this' moments might be worth a link on youTube. :-)
No doubt quality will be bit shaky even with front suspension but could be interesting to try.
Looking on eBay plenty of options for mounting on handle bars and I'm going to be using a cheap old digi camera but rather than risk losing it on the first bump has anyone tried the options available and have any recommendations?

I have tried bar mounting various cameras and it doesnt work. From 3 hour of footage about 40 seconds were playable. A quick and easy way to mount the camera is with a small 3-4 inch tripod mount with flexable legs from Asda (£2.50). Put the camera on the mount then zip tie to your helmet in the correct position. Brilliant footage!
or just buy a muvi for about £40 and clip it to a piece of webbing secured across your helmet vents! If you do, attach a flexi-wire or something to the little loop on the muvi as they are prone to flying off in a crash apparently, this way it all stays together. Have got some reasonable footage this way.
