m400 wont start ....intermittent prob...!!!

Hi..can anyone offer advice..what do i lk at first..??...M400,..30,000 miles,gr8 car as we all know...no problems since i purchased last year but 3 weeks ago it just wouldn't start...tried 30x then all of a sudden started..got home in garage, started next day, back in garage.....couple days later same thing,not start try sev times then starts now it wont go again....!!!!!! Advice please as to what i should look at first..b4 i go replacing expensive items that r not the problem.....any help would be VERY much appreciated....THANX ...Paul

Sounds like dodgy relay or something like that? Does the fuel pump prime when you switch on and it doesn't start.

Need more info... Does it turn over, do lights work, does pump prime?

I had intermittent starting issue last week were it seemed to randomly loose battery power, turned out a loose earth on battery so easy fix... Fuel pump relay can go along with some of the terminals to the large fuses in rear.

Relay, will be full of water, or if dried out, rusty as hell.

Installed upside down.

Remove and replace the correct way up, sorted, although you will probably need a few new relays.
