Hiya,

This may be a daft question, but i took delivery of some new bodywork panels today. They were stuck together with packing tape. I have tried to peel the tape off the bodywork but it is covered in adhesive and marking from where the tape was ( has already taken hours to peel most of the tape off).

I have tried finger nails, Water on a damp cloth and Washing up liquid, but nothing is really shifting it. Paperwork with the bodywork advises to remove tape on delivery, so i'm guessing the longer i leave it the more there is a risk of marking the bodywork.

Can anyone advise on a safe cleaner to use on the bodywork ? ( it is GRP bodywork from Westfield)

Thanks in advance ( I'm having a bit of a panic).

Al.

White spirit will also do the job but don't use cellulose thinners as it can dull the gel coat finish.
