Hi all,

I've been a longtime reader/poster on the forum but have never really got round to doing a "readers cars" thread. Well as of July 2011 i have...

My weekend/summer toy (love of my life!!) - Midnight blue TVR Tuscan Redrose in my eyes the peak of the Tuscan the good looks of the non S but with the S performance. I have owned this for just over a year now and still love it as much as the day i bought it if not more. It replaced my M3 and is head and shoulders above it in everyway possible! I dont think i could ever part with this car though a V8 Vantage is looking mighty appealing at the minute...

Now onto my daily driver my 207,000 mile Golf Gti, This unlike the Tuscan has had a fair bit of work carried out on it though i feel all keeping with the style of the car. I know many wont like it but i love it to bits and in my eyes is so much better than the modern versions.

Now lastly my beloved 1971 S2 88" (16 years older than myself!) fitted with the thumping Rover V8, this is the third offroader i have owned and this thing will go anywhere! It has the usual salisbury axles, lift kit, 33" tyres etc ec. I dont have many pics sadly due to not getting out in it this year due to a shoulder injury and cant drive the heavy old thing.

Hope you all enjoy my little fleet and i will try and get some better pics soon..

What a fantastic fleet! Not too sure on the Tuscan's numberplate, but they all look superb.

Just what i was going to say.

Tuscan = stunning car, fantastic colour and interior.
golf = One of my favourite cars of all and bright blue metallic an BBS are a winning combination. I assume 8v but have a sneaky suspicion that it hides a 2.0 ABF....

Love the TVR. I thought the Golf would be my favourite (I've always loved mk2 GTIs) but I'm not a fan of that 'dub' look at all.

Hi all,

Thanks for the kind comments! To answer a few questions..

The Golf despite doing over 200k just drives so well so i decided to keep the original 8v gti engine (though it has been cammed) I did plan on the usual 20vt conversion but just didnt have the heart to do it. It still averages 41MPG and returns over 50 on a motorway run!

With regards to the plate its just a bit of a laugh really its one of a couple "comedy" plates i plates own. I know its not very PH but i guess thats just my humour lol

I am indeed the ripe old age of 24 but i have owned 80+ cars and know how to respect them, only as of late im begining to keep cars longer. The TVR is the longest i've ever kept a car!! the M3 before it only lasted 6 months!

Regards
Sam
