Hi

I have been contemplating buying a 100hp Panda as my daily drive. I hear they are pretty good on fuel, have all the usual mod cons and arn't too sluggish either.

So does anyone have one and in reality what is it like to live with? Would like to know about comfort, fuel economy, reliability and general day to day use.

Thanks

Daz

Had my Panda 100hp for around a year and done 6k miles and all's well so far but a bit new to comment on reliability. Its very practical and a lot of fun to drive, only criticism is its a bit choppy on the ride quality. Averages around 45 mpg but I don;t drive in cities. Overall I love it and don;t regret it one bit.

Have a search of the forums, I've replied to a few of these.

In brief, (after 45k miles) it's averaging 38mpg (and the trip is about 1mpg optimistic) with varied use. 45+ is very easy on the motorway or with a light foot.

The ride is a bit 'marmite'. Worth trying one out on the roads you'd be driving on. It can be annoying if you're not up for a 'drive' and just want to cruise somewhere.

Fantastic fun little cars, I have bought and sold a few my only issue which has been pointed out above is with the ride. Drive one first and see what you think, in many cases the driver can put up with it but passengers don't stop moaning!

OK thanks I will go and test drive one soon. I assume the ride is very hard?

Yes, very hard.. If I lived in a city, I wouldn't have one. Perfect for the B road though.

Has all the mod cons that I need. Averages under 40 mpg, but in cruising mode it's much higher than that. Tank is very small so needs lots of fill ups. Not had any problems, paint work is thin / cheap as it has loads of stone chips. Tyres are an awkward size, so not particularly cheap.

Great little car.

They're awesome! There is a guy in Edinburgh with a white one for sale at only £6,666. He doesn't want to sell it but has to as he has another kid on the way. He has it for sale on eBay and Pistonheads... whistle

Driven two of them and love them, great fun for getting a bit silly in without having to worry about losing your licence *too* much smile

Try a Punto. It's a big step up in everything . . . except in costs.

My diesel has 90 brake and 200 Nm and steers bloody good.
