The Good, The Bad and The Unexpectedly.

Mince, eaten out. Definitely (and consistently) Bad
Lasagne and spag bol both have a place on my top 10 favourite dishes list, but I simply refuse to keep ordering and trying these dishes when eating out, irrespective of what restaurant I am dining in, as price and venue seem to hold no sway over quality where mince is concerned. Both are always depressingly sub standard and devoid of mince. Every. single. time. The best is always cooked by yourself/friends.
Shame really.
Sausage Rolls. Tragically Ugly, when they should be so much better
I'd pay triple the going price, if the pastry contained decent sausage.
When did you last ask for a rubbery strip of gray from the meat isle?
Every sausage roll is the same, but could be so much better.
The unexpectedly would have to be a Tesco chicken and bacon pasta bake microwave meal at the moment.
Pick out and bin the bits of chicken - The pasta, remaining paper-thin bacon slices and sauce makes a surprisingly delicious meal which will have you going back to fill your freezer with more.
But most of all... Bit miffed at the money/hope/wasted meal opportunities I've squandered over the last decade, stupidly thinking the next mince dish served from a restaurateur might actually be any good.
They just aren't.
Ever.
